Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)
Income Eligibility
Households with incomes at or below 60% of state median income are eligible
for assistance. Program services are available to both homeowners and renters,
with priority given to senior citizens, families with children and persons with
disabilities.
The HEAP Income Eligibility Guidelines for the
2009-2010 HEAP Program have been updated and are effective as of October 1,
2009.
In accordance with the DHCR/WAP Program 2009-2010 State Plan, we intend to
continue to use the HEAP income eligibility guidelines for determining WAP
income eligibility. These guidelines are based on 60% of state median income and
family size.
